Alexa Rabin, Psy.D.

Dr. Alexa Rabin is a licensed psychologist (PSY26200). She completed her doctorate in clinical psychology through Alliant International University in San Diego, California. She obtained her Master’s degree from the same university, and she completed her Bachelor’s degree with a focus on child development and cognitive science at Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tennessee. Dr. Rabin has had several years of experience working both on an inpatient and outpatient level with children, adolescents, adults, and families. Specifically, she has experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities; juvenile offenders; the severely mentally ill; juveniles in residential treatment; international refugees recovering from post-traumatic stress; children with a history of trauma; children and families with emotionally related mental health issues; as well as adolescents and adults with alcohol/substance use issues and co-occurring disorders. Dr. Rabin also has specific training in using art as a psychotherapeutic technique in treatment, and she has a wealth of experience conducting cognitive, psychological, personality and differential diagnosis evaluations with children, adolescents, and adults.

Dr. Rabin is an interactive, solution-focused therapist. Her therapeutic approach is to provide support and practical feedback to help clients effectively address personal life challenges. She integrates complementary methodologies and techniques to offer a highly personalized approach tailored to each client. With compassion and understanding, she works with each individual to help them build on their strengths and attain the personal growth they are committed to accomplishing.
